Which neighborhoods should you consider when moving to Etobicoke in 2021?

Etobicoke, surrounded by Lake Ontario, Humber River, Mississauga, and Steles Avenue West, is one of the most popular parts of Toronto. If you want to move here, there are 3 distinct areas to choose from – The Lakeshore, Central Etobicoke, and North Etobicoke.

    North Etobicoke

If you are not looking to spend too much time on housing, then North Etobicoke is the neighborhood for you. Real estate is more affordable than in the other two areas, which is why movers Etobicoke have been particularly active here. The Elms, Smithfield, Rexdale, and Thistletown are among the most popular neighborhoods in Toronto.

    Central Etobicoke

This part of the city has everything an average family needs. There are many green spaces where families can gather, and retail shops are on almost every corner. What makes living here a particularly good deal is the proximity of Pearson International Airport. Overall, residents here are mostly families and retirees, so this neighborhood is indeed one of the more peaceful ones.

    The Lakeshore

If you are looking for a bit of a more luxurious place to live in, then Lakeshore is the best option for you. The reason is in its name – it is right on the shores of Lake Ontario. There are quite a few parks next to the lakefront, a lot of trees and many sports and recreation facilities. It is no surprise that movers North York have had a lot of work here in the past few years as people from North York have been moving here quite frequently in recent years.

    The educational system is superb

If you want to establish a family base from which your kids will be able to attend their elementary school, high school, and then pursue higher education, then Etobicoke is definitely the place for you, as it has an excellent educational system. It does not just have great elementary schools and high schools, but thanks to its position, Etobicoke’s residents have great access to higher education institutions such as the University of Toronto.

How connected is Etobicoke with its surroundings?

Well, considering its nigh central position in Toronto, Etobicoke is really well connected with the rest of the city. The 27, 401, 407, 427, and QEW expressways are there if you are going to travel by car. Subway and bus transport is both functional and rather efficient. You can access the Bloor-Danforth subway line at Kipling and Dundas street. The Islington Station is covered by bus routes that go all the way through Mississauga. There are also four GO transit stations – Kipling, Long Branch, Mimico, and Etobicoke North.

What does Etobicoke offer in terms of recreation and relaxation?

In the modern-day and age where we sit more than ever before, staring in our laptops and smartphones, it is also more important than ever to have access to recreational areas. Furthermore, with all the craze in regard to climate changes and pollution of the modern world, we as a civilization need as much greenery as possible. And, good news, Etobicoke is definitely doing its fair share of this. This part of the city is rich with green surfaces fit for different recreational activities. Among the most notable ones are Centennial park, James Gardens, and Humber Bay Park. Gyms and other specialized sports objects are a common sight through Toronto as a whole, and Etobicoke is not an exception.

Can Etobicoke be a good, new home for you?

Well, what is a home? One could say that home is a place where you are on your own, safe and completely relaxed. Whether you are living on your own or with someone, home is the ultimate safe haven, and everyone needs a place that they can call their home. Many things constitute home, and we do not all want the exact same things from it. And that is, in fact, one of the chief reasons why people move – to find that one, perfect place.

Whether you will be moving over a long distance to Canada, or you already are from Canada, moving to Etobicoke in 2021 is indeed a great idea! Of course, perhaps not for everyone.
